Are the Lioords in Thailand too busy to write their friends and family? No of course not! We are just bad at writing emails regularly.
Last two years we had almost no friends and family visiting us here in Thailand and this month (July) we will be overwhelmed with the enjoy of friends and family visits!
- We are already use to the idea that our Arubian Family (Theo, Genevieve and Colin) are coming to Thailand for about one month from the 23rd of July. (Zijn de reisplannen al gesmeden trouwens? )
- We also have noticed that Hanzeeeeeel, brother of Evert (Wenzhou, China) is coming to terrorize China and Thailand together with a Polish friend. They plan to step foot in Thailand around the 18th
- And the latest good news that I received today on my mobile was from friend Tom. He must have saved a few NZD and he ll be leaving New Zealand to travel around. Tom will be in Bangkok around 20 July.
Amazing timing guys
we very much look forward to accommodate you at our houses in both Bangkok and Cha-am and we surely expect to have some drinks together.
Last week we already went to the airport in Bangkok to pick up Juliette so we know what where you arrive.

hothot
As hot as summer time Thailand. Hopefully too hot for more violence demonstrations in Thailand. Last year around this time we were visiting The Netherlands so we had an escape BUT this year it is full on: 36 degrees up, staying in the shade as much as possible and drinking water as much as you can. I remember that I once laughed at Chinese ladies who were holding umbrellas against the sun for their skin but today I had to hold one myself while I was walking Dalaat out. (our dog).
The news in our personal lives is that I (Maurice) signed the contract at Silpakorn University to start teaching full-time on 18th May in Petchaburi province. From door to door this is a three hour drive and a total change of scenery; you drive from an overpopulated concrete cement jungle (BKK) to natural sea and beach place (Cha-am, Petchaburi). It is a great change of scenery but Juliette still has to work in Bangkok, poor mama. We have already rented a full-furnished town house and we stayed there for week together with our friends (5 minutes from the beach). We hope to meet you here one day
Here is a photo of the Silpakorn University entrance:

Sawadee krab and happy songkran!,
Friends and family must ‘ve seen the news about the latest developments in Bangkok: again chaos because of politics and you might worry about us. We are safe outside the city and dangers
Actually it is the national Songkran festival again so we are celebrating this too! Next month I ll start teaching in a University outside Bangkok so we decided to discover the province near the beach (Cha am) now.
Songkran is a 3 day holiday of water througing and shooting everywhere and at everybody is before the rain sesion starts (althought we had lot of rain al ready this year). Here is a picture of a Farang called Mr. 007 from the West in action two years ago.
